About Shiva Shakti Dance

Shiva Shakti Dance is for ALL women, of ALL shapes, sizes, ages, cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs, and sexual orientations.

No dance experience is needed (in fact, many women have never danced before they arrive at the studio).

Acknowledgement of Country
We are based in Meanjin (Brisbane, Australia) on Jagera and Turrbal country. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land we dance upon, the Elders and Ancestors who have walked this land before us. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people both past, present and emerging.

Some think 'flow' is this really flowery, passive

Some think 'flow' is this really flowery, passive state of being swept away.

On the contrary things like risk (social, emotional and physical),
unpredictability,
immediate feedback and
group creativity
can get you into the flow zone really effectively.

This week in the Sensual Embodied Dance™ Facilitator Training we're exploring 'Flow' and how to facilitate entry into ecstatic states via dance and movement.

Many people stumble upon flow states in special moments and consider it something random and lucky.

But there's a real art to it.
And rich science behind how to get in the zone.

It's sadly common for many people to have never experienced unconditional affection & support as adults purely for being who they are, loved & held simply because they exist.

We are loved for our beauty,
Or our intellect,
Or our social status,
Or for helping others,
Or because we work hard,
Or because we're always kind...
For something...

What about just being loved?
For no reason at all.
Could you accept that?

We so often think we have do something to deserve attention.

Earn our sense of belonging & affection.
Or as soon as someone gives to us we rush to give something back and miss the soul nourishment of fully receiving love with no agenda.

Every one deeply wants to be seen, heard, held, loved... it is in our receptivity & softness that we can be strong. Being cherished & honored unconditionally in the midst of vulnerability provides the fertile garden, safety and nourishment to truly blossom beyond our wildest imagination
